The Carpenter position requires bending, climbing, kneeling, and periodically lifting items of 50 pounds. Essential duties include building rough structures, build and brace concrete forms with timbers, tie rods, and anchor bolts. Cut materials to specified measurements. Carpenters work at heights and near/in traffic. Shifts can include both daytime and nighttime work. Carpenters are expected to operate a variety of hand and power tools in a safe manner to complete job tasks. Carpenters build and strip prefabricated or built form work. Carpenter crews could also be expected to tie rebar, place concrete, and finish concrete. All aspects of the Carpenter position are considered safety sensitive and have the potential to pose safety risks to other employees and the public. All listed job duties are essential.
