Fox Chase Down Guy Project

This project required the installation of 40 drilled concrete shafts along an active Septa Fox Chase Regional Rail Line in Philadelphia.  The work had to be performed during track and electrical outages. Road-Con’s plan of attack was to match the most productive drill rig we could fit within the size constraints of the rail line with a hydraulically powered rail cart.  This setup acted as a self-contained unit traveling down the rail line to each of the worksites under its own power.  Working within the owner’s schedule, we were able to finish the project ahead of schedule and under budget.
